Comparing wishes and
dreams and things we feel
Emotions captured when
things aren't quite right
Praying and hoping way
into the night
Discussing lingering
passions for life
Overcoming much of the
days stress and strife
Recollections of things
from the past
Finding heartfelt
friendship that will
forever last
Intentions only honest and
true
A little something sent
from me to you
A big hug or a happy smile
Always good to hear from
friends across the miles
Covering the U S of A
And Canada along the way
A small gesture arrives
just to make your day
From sea to sea
Country to Country
And oceans afar
So many friends touching
the heart
Talking about the sports
of the day
Making hugs the bet, and
winning either way
Love comes into the
picture sometimes
Sharing our emotions,
souls and minds
A few jokes sent to see
some smiles
Anticipation of mail
across the miles
Each day and through the
week
Making it home in time to
seek
Mail sent from you to me
Realizing how important
each friend can be
Sending a cheery greeting
