The Love Of My Life

We've Been Married Now ~ For Fifty Years,
But Are Still ~ Just Kids At Heart.
We've Survived So Many Trials And Tears,
Everyday ~ A Brand New Start !




Despite The Times, We Went Without,
We Held Our Heads Up High.
With Lemons From The "Tree Of Doubt",
My Sweetheart, Just Made Pie !




I Wish ~ That All Of You Could Know,
My Wife ~ And Soul-Mate "Ann".
My Love For Her, Just Seems To Grow,
Thank God, That I'm Her Man !




Just Having Her, To Share My Life,
Has Made My Years Complete.
I'm Blessed To Have Her As My Wife,
And Am Still, Knocked Off My Feet !




My "Ann's", ~ The Music To My Soul,
My Instrument To Live.
This Fraction Of A Man ~ Made Whole,
By The Love, She Chose To Give.

   

I'm Still So Grateful, That She's Mine,
GOD Surely Smiled On Me.
I Hope In Heaven, I'll Still Dine,
Along-side ~ My "Sweety" !



She's Slept Beside Me, Now For Years,
And Kept Me Safe And Warm.
She's Put To Rest, My Utmost Fears,
And Danced ~ Through Every Storm.




She Still Keeps This Old Man On Guard,
Surprised Me ~ 'Round Each Bend.
And Even Though ~ Some Days Were Hard,
My "Ann's" Still My Best Friend.



I Just Pray, That She Understands,
How Much She Means To Me !
My "Masterpeice",  By Heavens' Hands,
That's What She'll Always Be !



I Know ~ That I'm Just One Old Man,
Proudly Bragging Of His Wife.
But Just Hoped ~ I Could Tell My "Ann",

You Are... "The Love Of My Life"

My Father Went To Meet Our Lord & Savior On
October 12th, 2001 ~ From Complications Of A Stroke.
One Evening Shortly After His Death ~ Finding Myself
In A Very ~ "Deep Sleep",  I Dreamt This . . .
A Dream, That I Will Never ~ Ever Forget.
I Saw My Daddy, I Heard His Voice, And I Heard Him Say;
How Very Much He Loved My Mom, & His Daughters.
But If ~ He Just Had The Chance To Tell Her One Last Time;
He Wanted To Let My Mama Know . . .
"She's Always Been ~ And Still Remains . . .
