A Simple
Woman
She molds
herself to
the winds
of
disorder
and
despair.
Supple in
stance,
bending to
meet her
challenges,
she moves
and sways
in
beautiful
ways.
The
composure
of her
spirit is
absolute.

Challenged,
she folds
her arms
across her
chest
or plants
her hands
on her
hips.
She does
not debate
when she's
in that
state.
The
meditations
of her
heart
stand
firm.

She
imposes
self
silence
when
bitter
words
are just
too easy
to speak.
She'll
acquiesce
to your
thoughtlessness.
The rules
of her
game are
golden.

Wounded,
she is not
broke in
half
or flung
face down
on the
ground.
She sees
the gain
in every
pain.
The
restoration
of her
soul is
complete.

She isn't
bound by
popular
ideals
of beauty
or
perfection.
Standing
bare in
the
mirror's
glare
she's
sustained
by her
simple
reflection.
